Battle Ready – The Works of Our Faith

Part 3

Mat 10:7-8  And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

My aim is that we will be better equipped to do the WORKS of God as stated in this command to GO, after this message….

  1. You need to know that it’s Gods will to heal

However, we know that not all get healed.

One of the hindrances to our ability to receive from God has to do with the way we see Him. Why the enemy likes to destroy the FATHER image.

If we don’t know or trust somebody, our ability to have faith in them is greatly diminished.

God’s Word tells us that we must be in faith when we approach Him:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)

How can we freely go forth and heal the sick, raise the dead? if we aren’t sure if it’s God’s will to heal people?
When Jesus gave this command, there were no exceptions Just GO and do!!

How often did Jesus heal people? Let’s take a look…

Mat 4:24  And his fame went out into the whole of Syria, and they brought to him all that were ill, suffering under various diseases and pains, and those possessed by demons, and lunatics, and paralytics; and he healed them.

Mat 12:15
And many followed him, and Jesus healed them all!

Mat 12:22-23  Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, “Can this be the Son of David?”

Mat 9:35  And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.

Luke 17:12-19 And as He entered into a certain village, ten leprous men met Him, who stood afar off. And they lifted voice and said, Jesus, Master, pity us! And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it happened, as they went, that they were cleansed.

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and glorified God with a loud voice.

And he fell down on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. And answering, Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were none found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And He said to him, Rise and go; your faith has cured you.

Jesus freely healed, delivered ALL who came to Him 100% results, and He instructed His disciples to do the same, and they did!!

When Jesus taught His disciples how to pray in Matthew 6, He instructed them to pray that thy will of the Father be done here on earth, as it is in heaven.

If you w
ant to see God’s will here on earth, you need to look at what is allowed or not allowed up in heaven! Do you see sickness, poverty, or bondage up in heaven? Not at all.  Unfortunately, God’s will does not always prevail here on earth, because we live in a fallen world. But as we pray we must pray from this heavenly mindset!!!!

Mat 7:8-11  For each one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. Or what father/mother is there of you, if your son asks for bread, will you give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will you give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?

Jesus compared the heart of a good earthly father to our heavenly father.
Now what good earthly father would turn away their son or daughter from being healed if they had the ability to free them from all forms of sickness and disease?  Or even just giving them medicine? Jail time?

While we would never do these terrible things to our children, why do we somehow reason away that God would??

Are we more loving and goodhearted than our heavenly Father?

How we see God and knowing His nature is an important key to seeing our Works in Him actually work!!!   TRUST HIM, when He says He will do it!!!   It is His will for all healing to manifest!!

  1. You must understand the covenant of Jesus at the Cross

Remember, the origins of sickness is a result of a curse back to Adam and Eve in the garden, and it came into the world as a result of sin.

“But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and of sin (1 John 3:8)”

  1. Question:Is healing part of the atonement and new covenant we have through Christ on the cross? YES
  2. Is it Spiritual healing’s or physical too? Lets read..

Mat 8:16-17  That evening they brought to Jesus many who were oppressed by demons, and He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah in 53:4-5:

Isa 53:4-5  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

So yes these healing’s were physical sicknesses that Jesus healed!!!

The thing we have to keep in mind is that the promises of the New Covenant are received by faith in what Christ has done on the cross! Just as Jesus died for sins of the world he died for healing, deliverance etc!!

Why is it, we believe on Jesus to forgive someone’s sins, and we see the greatest miracle happen, salvation, yet we don’t have faith that the cross can heal and set free??

You can pin your life on the integrity of what Jesus did on the cross, that by the stripes He took for mankind’s healing, present and into the future!!!  It was finished He said!!!

  1. Realize that the your are worthy to receive

This feeling of unworthiness is a sign of unbelief. Many saved struggle that they are worthy!!

Yet in another benefit of the covenant that Jesus so lovingly purchased for us… that is, the total and complete forgiveness of our sins. Jesus paid-in-full the price we were supposed to pay, and for God to make us pay for our sins after Jesus already paid for them, would discredit or ignore the price that Jesus paid!!  You are WORTHY!!!!

You are justified by the Blood of Jesus (Romans 3:24). To be justified in the root Greek word, literally means: to be made just as if you have never sinned!  (Romans 3:22) tell us The righteousness of God is now upon you and (Psalms 103:12) your sins have all be washed away, so far as the east is from the west..that’s how far..how far is that?

You are WORTHY!!!!

  1. See faith as a title deed

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.

Substance: is the concrete, assurance and confidence of things hoped for…

The evidence: this means the proof, the ownership and title deed of things not yet seen!!!

Here’s an analogy for you:

When I order something on eBay as I often do,

  • I work out what I want
  • I place the order
  • Once I click PAID IN FULL, that item is MINE!!
  • Although I don’t currently have it, it is legally my property!!!

In the same way, our faith works…

THIS IS MY VERSION OF HEB 11:1

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the concrete assurance of things we don’t stop hopping for, the legal title deed to the things not yet delivered, but wait for it, it is on its way!!!

Who Here today needs HEALING?  Healing of the bones, blood, mind, soul, heart, nerves, neck, legs, arms….whatever it is….

Please raise your hand

We are going to apply this message right now!!
Because we believe there is power in the WORD of God….It cannot return VOID!!!!!!!  If He says, He paid for your sickness…It’s paid for…so take it home….don’t keep coming to the shop window looking at it…..its paid off already!!!!!!!
