Eph 6:10-18  Finally, be strong in the Lord, relying on His mighty strength. 11 Put on the whole armour of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the devil’s strategies.  12  For our fight is not against human opponents, but against rulers, authorities, cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm.  13  For this reason, take up the whole armour of God so that you may be able to take a stand whenever evil comes. And when you have done everything you could, you will be able to stand firm.  14  Stand firm, therefore, having fastened the belt of truth around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15  and being firm-footed in the gospel of peace.  16  In addition to having clothed yourselves with these things, having taken up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one, 17  also take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  18  Pray in the Spirit at all times with every kind of prayer and request. Likewise, be alert with your most diligent efforts and pray for all the saints.

Here are 3 keys to winning your fight of your life!!

KNOW what God has purposed for you to do, this year, next year and in your lifetime. If we lack purpose we will lack motivation, if we lack motivation we’ll then grow weary and then we will start to loose the fight of our life!!

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure. (1 Peter 1:2)

2. Prayer

Matt 21:13 For my house shall be called a house of PRAYER!

At prayer this last week, I was challenged with some thoughts God dropped into my heart.

  • Us parents have modelled many things to our kids, but we have forgotten to model prayer and worship
  • The breakthroughs we are believing for will come when we put something on the alter,
  • Elijahs day, the alter was saturated with WATER after a 3.5yr famine. Today are most costly commodity is TIME. We need to be able to give TIME to God in order for Him to lap up the alter and come down!!!

Mat 6:5-7  “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.  7  “And when you pray, do not heap up repetitive phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

The place of agreement is the place of power!!  God’s given us power and authority for us to work together, as a team working together in unity and in power!!!

We can learn something from the geese!  Facts about Geese.

  1. Did you know why geese fly in a V formation? The lead goose takes the brunt of the wind resistance and he causes a slip stream effect for those behind him reducing the resistance and therefore making it possible for the flock to fly much much further than normally possible if they were flying alone.

2. When the lead goose gets tired, he moves to the back of the line where he can now rest, letting another take his place.

3. Geese also honk whilst they fly!! Why? They are encouraging one another on the journey.

4. If a goose gets sick, two other geese will leave the flock to sit and protect their partner until they either recover or die. They then make their flight back to the flock.

GEESE DON’T LEAVE ONE ANOTHER!!  They know their strength is together…I wish this came naturally for Christians!!

The Bible says that two is better than one, one sends one thousand to flight and two sends ten thousand to flight.
When God created Adam, the only time God said it wasn’t good, was when Adam was alone.  He made Eve because God knew we aren’t made to be alone!!!!

Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

1 Cor 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power.

2 Cor 12:9 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Cor 4:8-9  8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.

Through Christ Jesus, you armed and dangerous, ready to fight and win THE FIGHT OF YOUR LIFE.

FINISHING THOUGHT: Never ever, ever, is there one time where God looses a battle!!

If we are obedient to Him, we will always WIN the fight of our lives too!!!!
